Thank you for your interest in our Company. Alternative Power Systems, Inc. is a designer/installer of renewable energy systems and a consultant for energy efficiency and conservation. We are a licensed renewable energy contractor. The President, Stewart Somerville is the Area’s Proven Expert. He is the only one in our region of Southern Utah certified by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (www.NABCEP.org) for photovoltaic installations.

Our company was Incorporated May 22, 2006. The principals started in Renewable Energy in 1985. They bring with them over 30 years combined experience in the renewable energy field. Using this experience, along with advances in technology and the growing need for an environmentally friendly energy source, Alternative Power Systems, Inc. seeks to bring renewable energy to everyday use. Rather than just a last option for remote cabins, our goal is to integrate solar and wind energy into mainstream use throughout Utah & Nevada.

Alternative Power Systems, Inc. works closely with home owners, builders and architects to integrate renewable energy systems while maintaining the property’s desired atmosphere. In addition to designing and installing energy production systems, our company's subject matter experts help design homes and offices that are energy efficient. Alternative Power Systems, Inc. is an Energy Star Partner and leverages the knowledge and experience of that organization to provide value added service to our customers.
